October 28 Saw 3 Review and Random RantsSAW 3 - REVIEW
So I don't spoil the movie for people who have not seen it I'm going to give a small review.
Saw 3 looks like it should be the end of the SAW franchise (even thou I'd like more) as lots of story points from the other 2 Saw movies get tied up and infact it adds quite a bit to both part 1 and 2....so before seeing Number 3 - Watch the first two to truely "get" everything that is done and said in the third.
Yes, the traps are GRUESOME!....some worse than others and some just plain gross or insane.
If you have a weak stomach then do not go see this movie, it should have gotten a NC-17 Rating if you ask me, but myself personally I can't wait until it makes it's debut on a UNCUT DVD next year.
The other reviews were 100% Right - The first 15 min of this movie make BOTH others in the series seem like walks in the park. Again to not spoil anything I will NOT be telling you why, as that ruins all the fun of seeing it with your own sick eyes. (I admit there is something wrong with me, I just don't know what) By the end of the film, yer grossed out and yet you are stunned by the great and unexpected twists.
All in all, I would have to give it a 9 out of 10....probably the 2nd best in the Saw series...the first being the original Saw which got 10/10 from me due to the incredible shock value it gave me at the end. I literally fell out of my seat, and the others with me that night (they know who they are) would verify this.
Go see it, enjoy or puke...it's all in the mindset.

MARVEL: Ultimate Alliance
Well my biggest thing I want to talk about it the new game Marvel Ultimate Alliance for Xbox 360 (you can see I've been playing it on my Gamercard).
The game is really really fun, and I don't know why....I didn't like X-men Legends 1 or 2 that much.....or any superhero game as a matter of fact. Maybe I'm just a old school jerk, since one of the first things I did when I could was unlock Wolverines OLD SCHOOL Brown and Yellow costume.
I'd recommend it for a rent at LEAST due to the fact that I was skeptical about it, and yet here I am loving every minute I've been playing it!

Wow this crap seems rigged to me, last year I entered in so many god damned codes and won nothing at all.....
This year I've entered in a bunch and it seems everyone else is winning AGAIN! This damned contest has something against me for some reason or another.
CONTESTS IN GENERAL
I live in Canada, EH?
99% of Contests you see either in Print magazines or online are generally open to US residents only....Way to single out all the Canadians that may buy that product. For instance OXM (Official Xbox Magazine) has TONS of sweet contests in EVERY issue, but can I enter them in ANY shape or form? Nope....because I am Canadian.....Personally I find that as a form of racism, don't offer Canadians the Magazine unless yer willing to include us in all the same contests.....There isn't even a big deal over it, Ubisoft had a contest at E3 2005 for Rainbow Six Lockdown....Best team wins $500 (SWEET), I was on the best team so the $500 got split amung the 5 of us on that team.....Ubisoft sent me a form to fill out...I did and viola! I got a check for $100 USD!!! Musta been hard for em!
PLAYSTATION 3
Most overpriced paperwieght ever? Time will tell on this one, but I've got my pre-order down....not to play it (as nothing intrests me in terms of games) but to sell it closer to Christmas to make myself a quick buck, yea it sounds greedy and blah blah blah....
Heck EB almost refused my pre-order as they found out what my plan was and told me that's not allowed? LOL
In my own opinon, Sony is digging thier own grave with this one, they are TRYING to match Xbox 360's launch by launching it everywhere within a short time.....but oh wait - Europe - sorry we had to delay you....and oh North America - yer only getting 400,000 - good luck!
We will see the outcome on this one in the next month or so.....heck Pre-orders are already going for $1700 + and by Christmas I wouldn't be surprized if they were at $6000 or higher.
I've got to wrap this up as I should be getting sleep for work tommorrow, so anyway in closing....
I'm about to get back into City Of Heroes for at least 2 months (I got a 2mth card) and I think I'm on the Guardian Server under the alias G.Freeman (Obvious HL Reference) so if you play, say hi sometime.

Saw 3 comes out tommorrow (Oct 27th) and I highly recommend that EVERYONE go and see it....although if you didn't see or didn't like the first 2 then don't bother.
I rented Marvel Ultimate Alliance for my Xbox 360 tonight, so I'll be playing it tonight and if yer online send me a message and chat for a bit! Not actually much going on right now, I've been watchin the TV show Dexter on Showtime and It's a good show, but it's really wierd....I mean REALLY wierd... A cop who kills people who are serial killers that have beaten the system in some way or another is the easiest way to explain it. And in other other news, I watched the newest episode of South Park and I've decided that this halloween I'm going to attempt to summon someone back from the dead by saying that persons name 3 times while looking in a mirror (just like the South Park crew did with Biggie Smalls). Wow, my blog is kinda pathetic, I need more to chat about......EXPECT A SAW 3 REVIEW tommorrow night! I also wanted to jump in and talk about this great website I've been having fun with, just recently re-done as JournalPics.net a great place to waste a bit of time and browse some random animated gif's and icons from livejournal....I love browsing the animated gifs all the time, although be WARNED - some gif's posted are 18+ for nudty and sometimes just some really messed up stuff. SEE YOU ALL TOMMORROW! I am still alive, and I hate WoW...Ok people.
It's been a while since I did anything with this blog, so I've decided to rename it and UPDATE more often.
First thing - World Of Warcraft.....
Ever since that recent episode of South Park had it featured, 2 of my co-workers have become addicts. I find it sad....just very sad how people who used to have lives and used to do more with there time have become like the kids in the show. "Kyle, give Kenny your cloak of agility, he needs the agility boost"..... I just don't know what to do anymore. The world is falling apart and somehow the World (of warcraft) is becoming more powerful and has abducted 2 more good souls.
Anyway -
Second thing - Saw III
This Friday the 3rd movie in the Saw series comes out and it's looking to be the best and bloddiest of them all.
YES!! - I AM A SAW FAN (some would say FANATIC), The movies just grip me something fierce until they end.
The latest coming in at being 1 hour and 40 minutes, and having been sent to the MPAA 7 times before it got a R insted of a NC-17.....I can't wait till they release the UNCUT version on DVD in about 1 years time when Saw 4 is coming to theatres.
If anyone who reads this horrible blog of mine likes the Saw series and is planning on going Friday night....post it up here, and if yer in the Burlington, Ontario area....let me know! You can come with me and my group of Saw Fans......
Keep in mind here people, Saw 3 is Rated R by the MPAA and 18A by Canadian Ratings....so don't be asking about it if yer 13...
Third thing - Splinter Cell: Double Agent
I've been playing quite a bit of Splinter Cell: Double Agent lately (as you can tell by my Xbox Live Gamercard), yet I still suck horribly at this game. The game itself is very fun and has some great graphics, but missions coming in at around 30 minutes in length has me playing MAYBE one mission a day because it gets boring, especially when the missions involve staying hidden from enemies when all I want to do is shoot the hell out of them all (I know Splinter Cell is about Stealth).
LAST THING - Gears of War
GoW is going to be Game of The Year, I say this with confidence after playing it last week at X06 in Toronto. From the moment I touched the controller and took cover for the first time against the locust horde to the moment I chainsawed my way through the guy sitting next to me in the 4 on 4 team deathmatch as I screamed "AHAHHAHAHAHAHH EAT IT!!!" I had a blast playing, the game controls well, looks amasing and from what I can tell, has a great story driven experience. Special thanks for the guys at Epic Games who came out to X06 in Toronto, Mark Rein and Jerry O Flaherty.......Jerry was really fun to chat with about the game he ended up chainsawing me and laughing like a insane drunkard. (lol)
